Subprocessors

Last updated: May 2026

AudLit uses the following third-party services to operate the platform. Each subprocessor is bound by contract to handle user data only as needed to provide their service. We maintain this list separately from our Privacy Policy so we can update providers without re-versioning the policy itself.

AssemblyAI

Speech-to-text transcription

Full audio file for each section you analyze or clean up, and the resulting transcript. Audio and transcripts are deleted on the provider's side after processing, in addition to AudLit's own immediate deletion of the upload.

Anthropic

AI processing for manuscript-aware features

Sampled manuscript paragraphs for chapter and heading detection, heading candidates with short context for PDF title cleanup, manuscript text for character detection, manuscript plus raw and cleaned ASR transcripts for cleanup-feedback analysis, individual words for phonetics generation, and Character Practice scratchpad text for accent overlay. Anthropic does not train models on API inputs or outputs. Inputs and outputs may be retained for up to 30 days for trust and safety review, then deleted.

Stripe

Payment processing

Billing email, card details (entered directly on Stripe-hosted surfaces — AudLit never sees full card numbers), subscription and purchase metadata.

Supabase

Authentication and primary data store

Account credentials, profile, project metadata, parsed manuscript paragraphs, cached transcripts, annotations, vocabulary, voice-library entries, audition submissions, submitted cleanup-issue reports, diagnostic logs. Stored in the Supabase project regions identified in our infrastructure notes.

Vercel

Application hosting and edge delivery

Server-side request logs, function execution metadata, and any data passing through our application servers during a request. No analytics or behavioral tracking is configured.

Resend

Transactional email delivery

Recipient email addresses and message contents for system emails (invitations, annotation notifications, cleanup-report operator notifications, contact-form replies).

Sentry

Error reporting

Error stack traces and minimal request context. A PII scrubber removes emails, cookies, authorization headers, and known sensitive body fields before events are sent.
